SUPPORTIVE COACHING
Making a change in your behavior is actually not “just a matter of will power.” It's very difficult.
We’re on your side.
Using well-researched, behavioral-change principles, we’ll help you meet your study or work goals and improve your communication and relationship habits. We'll harness the strengths that are part-and-parcel of your unique differences -- like ADHD.
Set your own coaching schedule, from a one-time session to multiple times per week. Learn More.
more on COACHING
Supportive coaching is distinct from psychotherapy:
Its sole focus is the development and maintenance of new habits and behaviors in a specific life area
(such as study habits, ADHD management,
and professional communication skills).
Because insurance does not cover coaching services, payment is private. Sessions take place via phone or computer screens at a rate of $50/15 minutes.
COUPLES THERAPY
Couples therapy provides a private space
for partners and spouses to
build healthier relationships
and move forward.
Dr. David Smith, PhD,
who has conducted
marital research and marital therapy
at Notre Dame for over 25 years, is
the resident couples therapy expert
at Eddy Street Psychological.
DIAGNOSTIC Evaluations
A medical provider may have asked you to obtain an evaluation to help plan medication treatment.
Or maybe you, yourself, have been wondering what you're struggling with.
We'll help you sort it out.
Our diagnostic evaluations are focused on getting you the help you deserve
-- whether that's with us or another provider.
Some of our areas of diagnostic specialty are
anxiety, depression, other mood disorders,
body and eating disorders, and ADHD.
We don't offer evaluations for autism, IQ,
or adjudication/legal purposes.
Teletherapy
at eddy street psychological
No travel time. No parking hassles. No waiting rooms.
And unlike the big-business, teletherapy chains,
we understand first-hand where you work and live.
You're busy. Teletherapy with Eddy Street Psychological
means 100% of the time you invest goes directly toward you
feeling and doing better sooner.
in-person therapy
Most of our clients are served online, weekly for various reasons of efficiency and convenience. However, for those seeking in-person services, our office is located adjacent to Notre Dame in Eddy Street Commons.
Support that travels with you
Whether you travel for business, have more than one residence,
or are a student summering at home or interning out of state,
continued support means maintaining the gains you've made.
Our clinicians are PsyPact certified to practice in 42 states and counting.
our clinicians
We're doctoral-level psychologists, each with 25+ years of clinical experience.
In addition, we've each been university professors at Notre Dame for over two decades:
We've trained scores of doctoral students, published dozens of peer-reviewed studies,
and taught hundreds of undergraduates.
We'll always use the most efficient, research-based interventions to help move you toward your personal goals.

If we are in your insurance network, your
costs will quite likely be lower
than listed above.
If we are outside your insurance network, you still may be reimbursed
for a substantial portion of services.
Paying privately means more flexibility in how you use services
and greater assurance of privacy.
insurance SUPPORT
If you opt to use health insurance,
our expert billing specialist
will navigate the process for you and
take care of the paperwork
from start to finish.
You deserve to know the costs of
healthcare services and products up front.
In-network (as well as many out-of-network) plans
cover a good portion of services.
Our billing specialist will find out your plan's expected fees and explain them to you in plain terms.
We're in-network with Aetna & Student Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield,
Meritain, Pacific Source & United Healthcare (which is managed by United Behavioral Health).
If we're not in your network, our billing specialist will find out your out-of-network benefits for you.
pAYING PRIVATELy
Health insurance helps defray the cost of services.
At the same time, insurance companies place limitations on services. Paying privately means greater flexibility when it comes to your care: Unconstrained by insurance company limits, you're free to request longer, more frequent, and different types of sessions
based on your changing needs.
Insurance companies also necessarily access private health information
-- including the contents of therapy --
to make coverage and other corporate decisions.
Paying privately means the contents of therapy
never will be divulged to a third-party.
Confidential psychotherapy services
to help you find relief
and gain control of your life.
